Bloomin Onion

Saturday we met our friends Rex and Jamie for dinner in Layton. We went to Outback. Rex ordered a bloomin onion. Jace loves them. He was eating away when Rex said something about an onion and Jace said I HATE ONIONS. He says this as he is shoving more of it in his mouth. We all thought it was so funny. He just kept eating it and saying I hate onions, I hate onions.

Spring Fever

For the past week Jace has been begging me to let him play in his sandbox. I am amazed that he even remembers that it is in our backyard from before all the snow came. So I decided it was a nice spring day so why not. We headed out it felt so nice out that we only had to wear a sweater. Jace loved playing in the sand and had double the fun not only scooping sand in the tractor but also snow. I took advantage of the sun to pull some weeds and admire my daffodils and tulips that are coming up. I am so glad sping is coming and always love to see the spring bulbs start to come thru the ground. I know that soon we will colorful tulips, daffodils, crocus, and hyacinth blooming.

The rest of Grenada

Saturday morning we went to St. Gerorge's. There we started off by walking up to Fort George. This is an old fort that is up on a hill and has a great view.
It was fun to see all the old canons and the building.

Then we went to the spice market for some shopping. We got some souvenirs and got to talk to more people from Grenada. Daniel only got hit up to buy Cannabis twice.
Then it was off to Grand Etang. This was quite a beautiful steep drive. At least that is what Daniel tells me. I took advantage of the driving time to take a nap along with Rylee. When we got there we were hoping to see the monkeys that like to hang around in that area. Unfortunately they had been out that morning but were no where to be seen. We walked down to the lake and hung out there for a little while. The lake was surrounded by hills with greenery everywhere.







Then it was off the Annandale Falls. As soon as we got out of the car there was a man with a pet monkey who would put him on your shoulder to take a picture with, ladies with fruit baskets on their heads, and men who wanted to sell you drinks. We had our picture taken with the monkey and then headed to see the waterfall. At the waterfall there was a man who wanted a "donation" to junp off the waterfall. We agreed and headed up to the top to jump off. This waterfall had a rock cliff on one side with greenery tumbling down it. We watched our diver jump off into the pool of water at the bottom.



We then headed back to get ready for Valentine's date.


Ashlee had us reservations at the Aquarium restaurant that was right on the beach. We got there a little early and had time to take some pictures on the beach as the sun was starting to set. We then had a delicous meal. I tried swordfish and would have to say I recomend it. They even brought us girls a lovely white rose. We enjoyed the food, the company, and the sound of the waves. It was a perfect Valentines and a great way to end our time in Grenada. The next morning we got up early said our goodbyes and left for the Dominican Republic. We loved our time in Grenada and are hoping to visit again
