Hogle Zoo

Two weeks ago we decided to go to Salt Lake for a little vacation for Jace. Roy, Melissa, and Benson went with us. We started off eating at the Cheesecake Factory and then did some shopping. I was really enjoying the shopping until I got a call from Daniel. Jace had a little accident with this potty training. Which Daniel didn't think was so fun in the middle of the tool section at Sears. So after that was cleaned up we headed off to our hotel for some swimming. I wasn't thinking and left my camera in the room. Jace had a lot of fun swimming even though the water was cold and he couldn't touch. Luckily the water in the hot tub wasn't too hot so he walked around the edge of that. The next morning it was off to the zoo. Jace loves animals and was excited to see them all. He loved the monkeys, giraffes, and elephants. He told me the crocodile was dead because it just sat there with it mouth open. (The next day he told his cousin it bit his leg.) I took him on the carousel and he thought it was great to ride a tiger.

It was nice to get away for a few days with friends and let Jace have some fun. He is growing up so fast and it sure fun to see how he enjoys things that last year he wouldn't have.

Jace makes me laugh

It seems like every day I just can't help laughing at least once at something silly Jace says. Today I put his hand on my stomach to let him feel the baby. He told me that the baby was playing in my stomach. I asked him what it was playing and he said with its toys. I was thinking that I wish there were really some toys in there. It would make me feel a little better about the size of my stomach since last week they told me the baby weighed 10 ounces. Another thing that he loves to do is pull his pants down slightly and say see my butt crack. I know that I shouldn't think this is funny but he has the cutest skinny little bum and I can't help laugh. Luckily he hasnt' done this in public yet. I am so thankful that he gives me reasons to laugh everyday.

Black and White

This year Jace showed a cow in the pre-4H show at black and white days. He was so excited. When we got there that morning he kept asking me where his heifer was. When it was time for the show he grabbed the lead rope and was off. Daniel kept trying to get him to hold up close to the cow (like you are really supposed to show) but he was set on holding the end of the rope. He was so much fun to watch he truly has no fear. He hardly ever watched his cow he just walked and expected it to follow. There was even a few times when I got a little nervous that he was to close to cow in front of him. I can tell that I am going to have many more years of him showing cows to come.

Big Boy Bed

(first night in his new bed)

So I am way behind in my posting. So I am going to try and catch up on a few things. In May I decided it was time to get Jace out of the crib and put him in a bed. He loves his bed. He goes to bed and stays asleep all night. He even has found that is great to jump on. The other day I was thinking I better go check on him he had been quite for a little to long. I went in his room to find him snuggled under his blankets reading a pile of books. It so good to know that getting him out of the crib is one less thing I will have to worry about when the baby comes.

5 year anniversary

Yesterday was our five year anniversary. In some ways the years have flown bye and in other ways it seem like we have been together forever. (It might have to do with the six plus years we dated) I know that so many things have changed since that day. One thing that hasn't changed is how lucky I am to such a wonderful husband. We have experienced some wonderful adventures together and I know that I can't wait to see what the next five years will bring to us.
